How to Use a Tractor Tiller – 5 Steps to Learn How to Operate a Tractor
How to use a tractor tiller depends on the size of the field for which it is being used. In other words, it depends on the size of the land on which it is to be operated. If the field is big, you will have to use your equipment in a much bigger way to pull up the tiller. It has to be large enough in order to handle the work that needs to be done. In this article I am going to tell you how to use a tractor tiller successfully.
The first step is to set the equipment in motion. Make sure that the hoist is fitted in the trailer and that the rope is tied to the same so that you have it all in one place. Then, get down to work. Start by pulling up the tiller while keeping the rope looped so that you don’t lose your balance as you move forward.
Keep working backwards till you manage to bring the tiller to the level of the ground. Then, do the reverse. Continue doing this till you are satisfied that you have completed the work. Make sure that the rope is tight at all times and that the tiller is not able to slip even for a moment. If you have any trouble with this, it means that you have not tied everything properly.
The second step is to start digging. You have to work with your tractor tiller in the same way that you would if you were working with any other kind of equipment. Start by digging some holes all over the area that you have marked with the holes. When you have finished with the first holes, dump the material that you had been working on in one hole and tie another rope around the bucket to keep it tight. This is how to work with a tractor tiller in such a manner that you can complete the work as quickly as possible.
Now, the third step on how to use a tractor tiller begins. You have to tie the rope to the bucket using the coil knot. This should be a tight rope that can handle the weight of the bucket. Now, pull the bucket towards you. As you drag the bucket across the ground, you will see that the rope moves with it and you can control the speed at which the bucket moves.
Here comes the fourth step on how to use a tractor tiller. Just like in the earlier steps, you have to tie the rope to the bucket using the coil knot. This time, you have to make sure that the rope is tightly tied and that the coil knot is still securely fastened. Now, pull the bucket towards you again and you will see that the rope follows with it.
The fifth step on how to use a tractor tiller looks closely at turning the spade forks on the opposite direction. When you turn the forks, the spade pole moves up and down. This lets you access the work area from any side you want. When you follow this step, you have to make sure that the work area is well ventilated. You should also consider installing an exhaust fan on the tiller.
The last but not least important step on how to use a tractor tiller looks at tightening the control knob. If there is no knob, there is only one way that you can tighten it up. The easiest way is to attach a wrench to the spade rod. When you tighten the knob, it also moves the spade pole upwards and down which lets you access the work area better.
